This season is already underway in that the teams have been formed and began play April 12. However, if you would still like to join us and you see there is an opening in your child's grade division, register and we will contact you when we have found a place for your child. If your child's grade division says WAIT LIST, the division is full. You may go ahead and register so we have your information and if enough players come in later to form a new team, one can be added if enough parents also volunteer to help coach. You will be then charged the full $300 registration fee. If a new team is not formed by the end of the season, we look forward to your child joining us in the fall.

The HWYSA Intramural Program is an in-town skills development program for players Pre-K through 2nd grade. The focus of the Intramural Program is to introduce young children to the game of soccer, the concept of being on a team, and good sportsmanship. A child is eligible for the Pre-K division if they have turned four-years old BEFORE September 1, 2023.

 

Teams generally include 6-8 players. Rosters are prepared by the Age Group Coordinators and are coached by volunteer parents who have gone through the HWYSA Intramural Coaches Training session and adhere to the provided Coaching Curriculum.

 

Players are required to wear soccer cleats, shin guards, and appropriate apparel.

 

The Spring season runs from early April through early June. There are no games over Memorial Day weekend. Pre-K will play one game on Saturday. All other age groups will have one (1) practice during the week, and one game on Saturday. The time commitment for each age group is as follows:

 

Pre-K (1) practice/game on Saturday

Kindergarten (1) practice during the week, (1) game on Saturday

1st Grade (1) practice during the week, (1) game on Saturday

2nd Grade (1) practice during the week, (1) game on Saturday

If your child's age places him/her in a division different from their actual grade, please register for the grade division presented to you at registration and contact the Registrar at [email protected] to request a program transfer. Do not falsify your child's birthdate in order to manipulate the registration process. If your transfer request is approved by HWYSA, your child will be moved manually into the appropriate division by the Registrar.
