Help! I volunteered to Coach…what do I do?
Check out the Resources below! They are organized by age groups / programs. Be creative, have fun and make certain you discuss your Practice Plans with your fellow coaches before you start practice so you are all on the same page. Keep in mind (in particular with U6, U7, and U8)…that we want the game to be fun and fluid – the more stops and starts that occur on the field, the less playing time the players will have. Soccer is a game learned by playing and you can only get better by spending more time with the ball at your feet!

Professional coaches from GPS will run Academy practices each week, with a goal of teaching skills to prepare our players for travel, and also teaching our volunteers how to be better soccer coaches. GPS offers a practice manual that covers 8 weeks of curriculum to help create a clear and simple pathway for player development.
